Back in August photographer Lilli Waters shot some great photos of musician Ian Bland at Greg’s Butter Factory. Ian Bland writes a ‘weekly thematically related poem’ on Jonnie Von Goes JVG Radio Method on RRR on Sunday afternoons. Check out the show – its 2 hours of music and hilarity!!

Back in December and January this year we made over 100 kids poplar chairs for the windows at Seed. Making the same item over and over again can have a very strange effect on the makers – as seen in the images below – Matt and I went a little crazy!

One of our secret poplar harvesting locations!

“Check out me guns!”

“Please sir I have a question!”

They’re multiplying!

Thank you to everyone who came to visit us on the weekend. A fun time was had by all!

It seems everyone’s moving to the country. To celebrate their recent permanent relocations to central Victoria, Melbourne furniture maker and landscaper Greg Hatton is opening his studio workshop, the Newstead Butter Factory, with another recent relocator Cathy Hope of Douglas & Hope fame, on the first weekend of December. We would love you to come out to Newstead and not only do you get the chance to meet them both, but you can have a sticky beak around this fantastic old butter factory and check out their latest creations.

Greg’s hand made furniture pieces are generally made to order although there will be plenty to see and buy on the day. Cathy has just released a new range of beautiful melamine plates and along with her signature quilts and cushions you never know you may even cross someone’s name off your Christmas list!

There will be tea and decent coffee available and kiwi scones…apparently they’re better than ours? Local bullboar snags on the barbie and Sean McMahons Western Union playing at 2pm Sunday
